Hello plus size beauties!

I know that you all are aware that preparations for this year’s Full Figured Fashion Week® are in full swing. Every day, more details are developing and being released. Right now, everyone is focused on the casting tour but there is another component that receives just as much hype; The Face Of FFFWeek®.

The Face of FFFWeek® is a contest that allows plus size beauties who may not have the desire to rip the runway the opportunity to represent for the brand. This contest has proven to be a great way for aspiring models to jumpstart their career due the recognition they receive. The winner will be featured on FFFWeek® advertisement, she will host both events and red carpets while receiving numerous additional perks.

Now don’t get it twisted, just because this competition isn’t about runway modeling doesn’t mean that it is a walk in the park. In order to be The Face, you have to bring it! The winner has to have personality, she must be goal oriented, she has to be passionate about those goals and most of all…she must have the look (it is The Face competition…).

Yes, she must possess a unique look; a look that not only shows her physical beauty but the brilliance of her internal beauty. If you still don’t understand what I mean by the look, allow me to share with you the video entry of Rev'ee Lamar, the 2015 Face Of Full Figured Fashion Week®.

TIPS

  1. Read the entry instructions and follow them to be exact.  The entry requires that you answer specific questions.  No matter how professional your video is, if you don't answer the questions, your video will be disqualified.
  2. Make sure your video quality is good. There is too much technology out there for that to be the reason you miss out on this opportunity.
  3. Make an investment! If you aren’t the best with hair and makeup, hire a stylist to give you the winning look.
  4. Practice, don’t just submit your first take. Give yourself the opportunity to get as close to perfect as you can.
  5. Show some personality! Don’t forget you will be hosting events and red carpets, that requires… ENERGY!
  6. Share your platform and your truth. Give the world an opportunity to get to know you. This is your chance to shine and expand your brand so leave no stone unturned.

With the competition starting today, I want to assure you have as many tips and as much encouragement as possible. Since I have never personally entered or won the competition, let's hear from someone who has. Check out a few tips from last year's Face Of Full Figured Fashion Week, Revee Lamar:
