FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FULL FIGURED FASHION WEEK EMERGES FROM THE PAST WITH A TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO THE RUNWAY

(New York, New York – November 18, 2014) Full Figured Fashion Week® (FFFWeek) returns to the fashion scene with a dramatic makeover and renewed vigor. After a bittersweet finale in 2014, FFFWeek will be resurrected for the seventh year as the gold standard for plus size fashion events. Created by DeVoe Signature Events, this week of empowerment for the plus size industry once again welcomes an invasion of curves to New York City June 14 - 20, 2015. Created in 2009 as a series of small events and a fashion show featuring curvy women, Full Figured Fashion Week® is now the major voice of plus size fashion and has matured into an international event drawing attendees, designers, and attention from across the globe. Each event is molded to celebrate and empower plus size women and to respond to the current needs of the plus size fashion industry.

The seventh year of Full Figured Fashion Week® is a rebirth. Attendees can look forward to a new presenting sponsor and an extra day of festivities, which will include more fashion shows, updated versions of signature events, an increased focus on entrepreneurship and the business of fashion, and the addition of a competition for young designers to encourage and develop students of fashion design as they grow into the industry. Gwen DeVoe seeks to “empower women in all aspects of fashion. The 2015 event will focus more on providing increased educational opportunities for businesses and creating positions off the runway for models and upcoming designers.”

When the curtains closed on the Finale event in 2014, tears were shed by many as fashionistas, designers, brands, bloggers, and models mourned the last time they’d travel to New York City to experience the camaraderie and fanfare that became synonymous with Full Figured Fashion Week®. Over the years, it made numerous contributions to fashion and the plus size community as it bred new designers, provided training and exposure for models, expanded platforms for brands, spawned a generation of fashion bloggers, and inspired events catered to the curvy community from the U.S. to Europe. DeVoe Signature Events, a pioneer in the plus size fashion movement, responded to the outcry from the community for more and committed to bringing FFFWeek back in a fresh way to help guide the industry to the next level. Visionary, DeVoe states that "We are excited to re-launch FFFWeek in 2015 with a new presenting sponsor, whose name will be revealed in January 2015. The 2015 event promises to further push the boundaries of plus size fashion with the inclusion of more indie designers, high end brands and the additional support of industry taste-makers." Full Figured Fashion Week® will continue its open-door policy of working with small businesses and is looking forward to building relationships with business owners and fostering their growth.

Countdown to 2015 begins as The FFFWeek® Casting Team goes on the road again to scout the fiercest catwalk divas across the country. The 2015 Casting Tour kicks off January 10th in New Orleans, LA, and will travel to the following cities:
