Full Figured Fashion Week 2015 came to an end last weekend in New York City, after a Jam-packed week of events celebrating the plus size fashion industry.
It was absolutely amazing, this year the event felt different, elevated, more polished, certainly after 7 years of producing the event Miss Gwen DeVoe and her team now know what works and what doesn’t after trial and error.
Day 1 (Sunday): kicked off with a fashion show at JCPenney, styled and hosted by reality TV star Sabrina Servance of Lifetime’s “Big Women: Big Love”.
Day 2 (Monday) the Luau Party, a great party attended by models and designers where everyone came to meet and greet each other as well as network.
Day 3 (Tuesday) The Media Event, where the designers get to do interviews, meet the press and bloggers, get their picture taken and talk about their brands.
Day 4 (Wednesday) All White Cruise, one of the most popular events during FFFWeek and a fan favorite. This year Ashley Stewart held a fashion show on board the yacht.
Day 5 (Thursday) The DeVoe Magazine Launch Party, FFFWeek founder and creator, Miss Devoe, launched her own magazine with the help of the magazine’s editor Evie Foster.
Day 6 (Friday): Plus Model Magazine (PMM) “Celebrate my Size” Expo/Townhall and the Indie Designers Showcase. PMM teamed up with FFFWeek to host an Expo and town hall sponsored by Ashley Stewart. Another crowd favorite, the Independent Designers showcase was also held that evening, where designers from all over the world showed off their designs.
