Full Figured Fashion Week® (FFFWeek) launched in New York City with a partnership of 12 brands and approximately 200 guests attending three small events and one large runway show. Now in its sixth year, the event’s offering has expanded to include over 100 partners, including sponsors, independent designers, retailers, boutiques, fashion bloggers, small businesses and other industry professionals. We now offer over 20 events and 4 runway shows featuring an array of fashion from top retailers, boutiques and independent designers worn by 50 of the top runway models across the country. What began as a bold first step in support of the plus size fashion movement has evolved into a breakthrough fashion event.
Although the mission of FFFWeek® is to empower plus size women through fashion, the event has quickly evolved to match the industry’s growing focus on the plus-size business opportunity as well. The success of the event has led it to become the number one networking opportunity for all businesses with products and services for plus size women, connecting brands with curvy influencers — the bloggers, independent designers, fashion industry professionals, and entrepreneurs in attendance who are driving the plus-size market.
FFFWeek continues to attract national and international media attention and has been featured in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, New York Post, New York Daily News, Newsweek, Forbes, Vogue Italia, USA Today, Women’s Wear Daily, Glamour, Huffington Post, New York Magazine and many fashion blogs. The event has also been featured on CNN, ABC, MTV, Fox 5′s Good Day New York and TV One’s R&B Divas.
The next Full Figured Fashion Week will be held in New York City on June 16-21, 2014. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to seeing everyone there.

2014 Charitable Partner -The Alex House Project
This year, Full Figured Fashion Week® has chosen the Alex House Project (TAHP) as our Charitable Partner and will donate a portion of the proceeds of our launch event to this charity.
The mission of the Alex House Project (TAHP) is to decrease the poverty rate associated with teen pregnancy by providing support and leadership development in a safe haven with a caring environment. As a result of the new skills and leadership roles our young mothers will gain, they will ultimately become creators of their own social change and gear community to go beyond the business-as-usual to discover ways to support youth and young mothers holistically.
TAHP started as a vision eight years ago by the founder, Ms. Samora Coles. While working at the Red Hook initiative in Brooklyn, NY, as the Reproductive Health Coordinator, Ms. Coles developed a young mother support group. The group met weekly and provided a safe space for the mothers to get and feel supported.
In February 2013, Ms. Coles secured donated space in the Red Hook community and started providing service to young mothers in the community.
FFFWeek® takes great pride in partnering with The Alex House project this year and looks forward to assisting them in their efforts to provide support and leadership to the young mothers of their community.
