In addition, Curvaceous Boutique is a channel for the complete look by offering clothes, bags and jewelry. Providing current fashions for plus size women is one goal for Curvaceous Boutique, but another goal is providing plus size women with key information on how to dress their body appropriately such as offering a key undergarment SPANX and BODY MAGIC. Curvaceous Boutique teaches plus size women their silhouettes works best by accentuating their best features and hiding trouble areas. Plus size women come in many shapes and sizes, yet it cater towards all of them.

The owner of Curvaceous Boutique, Cassandra Savage, understands the hardships of finding trendy plus size clothing as being a curvy woman herself. This sympathy enables her to be passionate about the lack of plus size consideration in the fashion industry since the average woman is size 14. After working in the telecommunications and financial industry for over 15 years, Ms. Savage became quite dismayed with the monotony of plus size fashions. She was frustrated with the offerings of this category in woman's wear because most only offered maternal styles for the full figured woman. Always having a passion for fashion, she decided to fill hole in the fashion industry. An African-American woman who is at the heart of the fashion, she possesses a unique ability to merge cultures through a shared appreciation for style. With a prayer and a dream it all started in 2006, Curvaceous Boutique opened its doors in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Today, her face can be seen on the covers of national and local magazines, in addition to a recent TV spot on BET Jazz (Tears, Shears & Beauty). Ms. Savage is a highly sought after fashion liaison for her countless roles in Hair and Fashion Shows.

Curvaceous Boutique has expanded its horizon to reach a global base clientele through its online store at www.curvaceousboutique.com. In addition, Myspace and Facebook is used for networking and building a media related venture. Curvaceous Boutique does not follow trends it makes them. Whether shopping in our store or in the comfort of your home, Curvaceous Boutique assists in any fashion predicament and its staff will be more than thrilled to aid in your fashion endeavor.

    Evie Foster

Evie Foster

Evie Foster is a curvy woman on a mission, following her passion, to provide curvy women with beautiful choices in fashion. Evie is joining us all the way from Australia and intends on focusing on the US market.

She describes her life as 'never a dull moment' and is preparing to show the World what happens when you have a dream, passion and determination and never ever give up! Evie has been a single mother for 10 years now and as her children have grown, is now able to concentrate on her dreams and goals and passions. She describes her life as 'never a dull moment' and has done everything in her career from serving in the Royal Australian Air Force, working in retail, business development and executive assistant roles but fashion is her 'thing'. One of her most treasured times in her career was when she taught personal development and modeling to mature and plus size women. She was able to watch these women transform into self-confident, beautiful curvy women and was rewarded by being instrumental in their transformations.

The Evie Foster label is designed to fit and accentuate the beauty of curves. The label is about style, fit, versatility and comfort. The designs are created to fit the body properly by accentuating a woman's most alluring asset, her curves. Rather than hiding a voluptuous frame under a large 'tent of shame', Evie Foster designs celebrate the female form and brings sexy back to plus size clothing.

Evie says "this is something I have always wanted to do - it was born out of my experience in the plus size industry as a model and trainer and also through my own personal experience as a plus size woman. I want to, not only, create fashion for full figure women but to raise the profile of plus size designers and plus size models and to smash the stigma that surrounds it."

The inspiration from the first range from Evie Foster is the 'city that never sleeps' - New York City! Evie came back from her first visit there 18 months ago with a fire in her belly. A fire that would see her finally realize her 10 year old dream, to launch a plus size label and to give the curvy women of the World another choice.

New York is strong, busy, powerful, exciting AND seductive - as is the woman that wears Evie Foster's 'New York State of Mind - Spring Summer 2012 Collection. She is everything the City is and more - she is curvy and sexy and craves comfort. She stands tall, strong and proud and can be found standing on the top of the Empire State Building shouting ....Kiss My ..... Curves!

The Collection has a classic, contemporary feel with a little sexy thrown in. Some of the pieces in this collection have been named after curvy women who have supported Evie Foster in kick starting this very important Collection. These women are from all walks of life and are ALL rocking their curves!

From classic to contemporary to trend setting, Curvysta has it all. As the premiere site for emerging independent designers, Curvysta offers modernity and quality to the plus size community.

Annie and Jade by Annie Le is an eco-luxurious line for the contemporary woman who cares about the environment. Annie Le, the designer of Annie and Jade by Annie Le, only uses natural, organic, recycled and fair trade fabrics. Her goal is to make every client feel like a woman in her modern, body conscious designs.

Chabri creates her designs using the lines of a woman's body. Draping and movement are essential, vital elements to each piece. For Jennifer, designer of Chabri, her garments are her artistic fashionable expression.

"Curvysta offers alternatives for the plus size woman who loves her curves and loves being seen," says the owner Jovanna Reyes. "We wanted our Curvystas to have access to designers that are fashion forward, pay attention to detail and offer great quality fabrics."

The idea of Curvysta began twenty years ago when Jovanna worked for Bloomingdale's in their plus size department. She realized plus size women did not have the same options other departments offered. It took several years and her dream finally came to fruition in 2008. Curvysta.com is an extension of the Curvysta Showroom in Atlanta that allows her to expand her dream to the international community. Curvysta is expanding their showroom in the Northeast area of DC/NY/VA.

In the last few years, she realized that her forte was the ability to find avant-garde designers that would appeal to the plus size woman. Curvysta may be seen in Plus Model Magazine, winner of FFFWeek's Magazine of the Year. Her styling and photography may be seen in other top plus magazines like Skorch, Daily Venus Diva and more.

The mastery of designs are geared towards women in its couture element with dresses, pant suits, two pieces & evening gowns where one would think they are the Cinderella of the Ball. La'Tresa Harper and Danyelle Freeland  of  LaDan's Closet

LaDan's Closet

Danyelle Freeland, maternal granddaughter of a self- taught designer and seamstress & paternal granddaughter of a fashion "DIVA", realized early on that shopping for the clothes she desired was very difficult. She would piece together items but was really never satisfied with what was in her closet. Latresa Harper struggled with the same dilemma. Growing up with nothing for kids or teens her size to wear, and admiring the trendy styles that her peers were wearing, she decided that it was up to her to make a change. She wanted to create what she felt was glamorous for the plus sized women. After over 20 years of friendship, nature took it's course .

Designers Latresa and Danyelle have a keen sense of what's ''HOT" and what's "NOT". They set out to create a line that's fashion forward, trendy, and of high quality. Incorporating LA'Tresa and DANyelle in 2009, "La'Dan's Closet" was born.
